This temple is also known by the name Mukuteshwari. One of the unique features of this temple is the absence of the figurine of any deity. Instead, the red stone that is located at the centre of temple symbolizes the goddess Parvati which is worshipped by the people.
Kalighat Temple
As part of the 51 Shakti Peethas , the Kalighat temple is located in the capital city of Kolkata. According to the local legend the right toe of kali fell here and since then the temple was established to as a sacred homage to the goddess.
